Board President:
Dr. Michael Robert Patch
Dr. Michael Robert Patch holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Conducting from the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance, a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education (K–12 Choral) from the UMKC Conservatory.
His conducting and musical development have been shaped by work with Robert Bode, Eph Ehly, Charles Robinson, Gustavo Halley, Vance George, David Xiques, and Charles Bruffy. As a singer, Dr. Patch has performed with ensembles including the Grammy Award–winning Kansas City Chorale, Kansas City Symphony Chorus, Pacific Mozart Ensemble, and Oakland Symphony Chorus. His voice appears on a Grammy-nominated recording of Rheinberger’s music with the Kansas City Chorale, as well as recordings of Elinor Remick Warren’s works with the Pacific Mozart Ensemble.
Dr. Patch founded Choral Spectrum with the vision of creating a choral home where all people are safe, welcomed, and affirmed—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or whether a singer’s voice aligns with their perceived or true identity.
Board Vice President:
Stacy Greenbaum
Stacy Greenbaum serves as Vice President of Choral Spectrum KC, bringing a passion for music, education, community, and authentic connection to her work with the organization. Stacy has been a member of Choral Spectrum since 2021 and has served in leadership on the board, helping advance the choir’s mission of creating community, celebrating diversity, and using music as a force for connection and change.
A lifelong advocate for the power of the arts to bring people together, Stacy previously sang with the Kansas City Women’s Chorus, where she also contributed her time and talents as a committee member. She continues to share her love of music through singing with spiritual and community groups throughout the Kansas City and Topeka areas.
Stacy holds a master’s degree in education and currently teaches sixth-grade English in Topeka, where she is passionate about helping young people find their voices, recognize their worth, and become confident members of their communities.
As Vice President of Choral Spectrum KC, Stacy is proud to help build an organization where every voice matters—not only in the music, but in the community we create together. She believes deeply in the transformative power of singing, the importance of belonging, and the responsibility we have to use our voices to make the world a more welcoming place for everyone.
Board Treasurer:
Jay Seth Farrow
Jay Seth Farrow holds a BA in Music & Music Education (Graceland University, 2001) and an MM in Choral Conducting (Michigan State University, 2004), having studied with Drs. Thomas J. Hart, David Rayl, Jonathan Reed, and Sandra Snow. He sang with the professional ensemble Octarium from 2005-2007, was Assistant Director and later Music Director of the Jacomo Chorale from 2005-2008, and served the music program at Visitation Catholic Parish from 2008-2018. Mr. Farrow began singing with Choral Spectrum in 2019, became Assistant Director in 2022, and is proud to support the organization’s mission and vision.
Board Secretary & Membership Chair:
Mon Diaz-Serrano
Monica Diaz-Serrano is an elementary special education teacher with the Olathe School District. She has been a member of Choral Spectrum KC since 2020 and joined the Board of Directors in 2024. She currently serves as Board Secretary and Chair of the Membership Committee.
Monica brings more than 12 years of leadership experience from a variety of professional and university organizations, in addition to seven years of experience in public education. She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching—Special Education High Incidence, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and an Associate’s degree in Vocal Performance.
A lifelong musician, Monica has sung in choirs for more than 26 years. Her musical journey began with church choirs and Allegro Choruses and has continued through collegiate and semi-professional ensembles.
When she isn’t in the classroom or making music, Monica enjoys Latin and swing dancing, as well as arts and crafts.
Board Member & Development & Corporate Engagement:
Dr. Kaitlin G. Fields
"Dr. Kaitlin G. Fields brings more than 31 years of experience in corrections and law enforcement, serving in leadership roles including Corrections Captain, Warden, and Crisis Intervention Team member. She now works in animal welfare with KC Pet Project. A lifelong musician, Kaitlin has been singing and playing piano since the age of five. She holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Prison Administration and Jail Management, as well as a Master’s in Social Work. Kaitlin serves as a board member of Choral Spectrum KC, focusing on Development and Corporate Engagement. She is also CEO and President of City of Refuge Transitional Center, Founder of the DJ and Kaitlin Fields Foundation, and serves on the Salvation Army Steering Committee. She is a proud pet mom to DJ Dog, Lacey Lou, and Nutmeg—and enjoys wine and cookies (just not together!).”

Sydney Robb
Sydney Robb joined Choral Spectrum KC as a singer in 2023 and quickly found a welcoming community of friends and fellow artists. Inspired by the meaningful impact the organization had on her life, she joined the Board of Directors in 2024, eager to give back and help further Choral Spectrum’s mission.
Sydney holds a bachelor’s degree in Music with a minor in Arts Management. During college, she focused on music composition and grant writing, working with organizations including the Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association. She is passionate about helping Choral Spectrum grow and sharing the story of a community that comes together to create meaningful art, support one another, and inspire audiences.
Professionally, Sydney serves as the Interim Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Holmeswood Church. Outside of her work with children and Choral Spectrum, she enjoys composing music and spending time with her family.
Board Member:
Jordan Eleison
Jordan Eleison is a sapphic genderfae contralto who received classical vocal training throughout high school. After taking several years away from singing while navigating chronic health challenges, she rediscovered her passion for music when she joined Choral Spectrum KC in 2024.
Becoming part of Choral Spectrum marked an important new chapter in Jordan’s life, reconnecting her with the joy of performing and her love of reaching others through music. The experience encouraged her to pursue singing more actively and to seek out opportunities to share her voice throughout the Kansas City community.
Today, Jordan performs across the KC metro as her health allows. She can often be found singing karaoke, performing for charity at Missie B’s, singing with open and affirming church choirs, and participating in a growing variety of choral concerts and solo performances. She is especially proud to have begun pursuing paid performance opportunities, fulfilling a lifelong dream of singing professionally.
Jordan joined the Choral Spectrum Board of Directors as a way to give back to an organization that has had a meaningful impact on her life. She hopes to help Choral Spectrum continue to grow and provide others with the same opportunities for creativity, connection, and community that she has found through music.
